Adult Programmer/Publicist – Part Time

Mendham Township Library is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual in the role of Adult Programmer/Publicist. The main duties are to

• Plan, promote, and oversee adult programs (daytime and evening)
• Design & distribute flyers to advertise programs
• Publicize all library programming   – via press release/social media/posting flyers in town
• Produce monthly e-newsletter

Applicants should be resourceful, unflappable, friendly and represent the library in a professional manner.  Interest in leading an evening book group or craft class would be welcomed. This position will require lifting of chairs/tables to set up and reset a room after events. Applicants should be proficient with setting up a projector/smartboard and laptop for a presentation.

The 10-12 hour per week position is based in the library and is not remote. Evening hours will be required when an evening program takes place – usually once or twice a month. The successful applicant will be expected to work some hours at our circulation desk to facilitate contact with our patrons.
