We’re Hiring – Library Services Manager

Part Time – 15 Hours per week.

Are you passionate about connecting people with the right books and digital content? Do you love keeping up with reading trends and making creative, well-informed purchasing decisions? Mendham Township Library is looking for a Library Services Manager to help shape our collection and ensure our patrons have access to the best in print and digital content.

About the Role:

As our Library Services Manager, you’ll play a key role in curating our collection—both physical and digital—to reflect the needs and interests of our community. You’ll analyze circulation trends, manage e-content purchasing, and make thoughtful recommendations that will engage readers of all ages. Flexibility is key, as you’ll balance collection development with other responsibilities, working closely with library staff and patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee print and e-content purchasing, ensuring a well-rounded, dynamic collection.
• Monitor circulation trends to make informed, creative selection decisions.
• Work with vendors to manage digital content subscriptions and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with library staff to understand patron interests and reading habits.
• Assist in collection maintenance, including weeding and replacements.
• Stay up to date with publishing trends and emerging library technologies.
• Keeping our website up to date

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in collection development, acquisitions, or a related library role.
• Familiarity with e-content platforms and digital lending services.
• A strong understanding of reading trends and community interests.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing needs.
• A team player who enjoys working with both staff and patrons.
• A degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) or equivalent experience preferred.
