Supervising Librarian/Children’s Librarian

The Mendham Township Library is looking for a friendly, energetic, and community-minded Supervising Librarian, ideally with a background in children’s librarianship to join our team.
This position is 25 hours per week.

The main duties are,
Maintain and develop the children’s collection
Provide reference and readers’ advisory services to children & caregivers
Supervise circulation desk staff – scheduling, training & performance oversight.
Prepare & maintain desk schedules to ensure adequate coverage
Oversee daily circulation operations, ensuring accurate & friendly service.
Serve as Acting Director in the absence of the Library Director
Assist in planning & implementing library policies, services & long-range goals.
Contribute to budget development, grant writing & special projects.
